My Cookbook
In 2017, we lost our 19 year old son, Ethan, to cancer. Losing him left our family with tremendous grief and pain. Five years on, I have learned to live with the endless cycle of pain, joy, suffering and healing but also remain resourceful and steadfast. They say that grief comes in two parts. First is the loss. The second is the remaking of life after. In redefining my life after losing Ethan, I reconnected with my passion for baking and cooking. I've created, "Wawa Sweets", and wrote "Wawa Delicious" as a way to continue my healing. Being in the kitchen is cathartic for me. The writing and creative process for this book took over two years. With the help and support of my family and friends, I am so grateful to be able to share it with you. Special thanks to Jun, Bianca, Giselle, Chrisele, Elga Sneddon, Elizabeth Tiamzon, and Rikako, friend and graphic artist extraordinaire. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook ($30) will go toward the Ethan Carmichael Denum Memorial Fund. Please send me a message if you would like to order a copy.
